The Student Council accomplishes the majority of its work through its committees. Committees draft legislation and pass it through a preliminary vote before being referred to the full council for possible amendments and a final vote.

The Student Council appoints students (both the Council members and non-Council members) to student positions on Board of Governors committees, Executive committees, University committees, and Academic Senate committees.   View a list and descriptions of these committees.
